The Festival Catalogues from the 1999 and 2000
"Sixties Millenium Concerts" at Brighton, England.
In the Summers of 1999 and 2000 I was fortunate enough to be employed on the sound stage of the "millennium" sixties revival concerts at Brighton. These two events must have to be just about the most amazing collections of sixties performers to have been on stage together in thirty years. Sadly the climax of the 2000 event was that the organisers "did a runner" with the money - the bands were not paid and because of that the event won't be easily resurrected. The concerts were a spectacular array of talent, and I don't think the organisers realised just what an amazing event they had created - and then killed.
1999
On the following pages I reproduce the full programme of the 1999 event. The publishers were Mike and Christine Neal, but I haven't been able to contact them to ask permission for publication, so I apologise in advance to them or anyone else who thinks they may own the copyright. The pages are individual to download quicker and each has a link back to this page.
